WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Production Supervisor will coordinate the activities related to common services to the plant and the production team. He/She will work within a unionized facility.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Supervise the work of the Labor Crew by organizing their daily and weekly tasks, assuring proper training, managing overtime hours and approving payroll.
- Assure the correct operation of mobile equipment used by the team by reviewing the pre-start checklists, running weekly inspection and defining the required repairs with the vendor and/or maintenance department.
- Provide the training required to assure succession pipeline from the Labor crew to Utility position.
- Perform regular performance reviews of the laborer crew.
- Supervise the industrial cleaning activities in the plant by coordinating the work for the contractors.
- Actively participate in the maintenance planning process by attending planning meetings and define priorities for repairs and/or cleaning requirements.
- Assure consistent shift coverage by checking the crew schedule and call for OT when required.
- Administer hourly staff vacation schedule.
- Provide back-up support in production department when needed.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Provides weekly schedules for the tasks to be performed under the direction and supervision of the shift coordinators or relief coordinator. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in conjunction with the Production Manager.
