As Powder Coating Supervisor you will be responsible for the health & safety standards, monitor and request for purchasing, stock control and quality standards of an 8-man team. Candidates must possess previous experience of working in a managerial or supervisory role within a manufacturing, paint shop or powder coating environment.
Role Description:
- Training of new employees on all job responsibilities in the department.
- Manage the daily workflow through the department to meet the demands of production.
- Monitor line efficiency of loading and unloading of parts on and off the powder coating line.
- Prepping parts in order of the production schedule on the powder line prior to coating.
- Monitor the packaging and counts of parts or assembly for shipping to shipment or being moved to inventory.
- Monitor of the accuracy of production process and inventory report
- Report an accurate Production Detail Report daily.
- Responsible to set up oven temperature, line speed and maintain in optimum quality of our pre-treatment system, Film thickness and Part Curing
- Powder utilization, Powder Inventory control and ordering system.
- Minimize downtime for Colour change and powder usage per colour.
- Monitoring powder releases and powder required for work in process and colour for remaining scope of project.
- Monitor all equipment’s on the department and make sure in good working condition.
- Create and implement Paint line Safety Procedure
· Process Improvements Initiatives, Utilize the House of Lean Production Tools
· Manpower utilization FTE and TEMP employees
· Minimize downtime utilizing staggered breaktimes.
· Production forecasting and line capacity to minimize overtime and utilization of second shift if needed.
· Protect environment by creating a proper procedure of Disposing Water Waste
- Responsible for line maintenance Schedule
- Implement quality tracking procedure.
- Compliance with Health & Safety Standards
- Various other duties as assigned.
Skills & Attributes:
- Demonstrable Experience in powder coating/paint shop/manufacturing
- Management/Supervisor qualification or experience
- Ability to work to multiple deadlines and prioritise workload effectively.
- Excellent Interpersonal & Communication Skills
