Production Worker

Rolmaster Conveyors requires a permanent full-time Production Worker at our fast-paced manufacturing facility in Cambridge, Ontario.

Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 42 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm; Friday 7:00 am to 11 am). Overtime is paid after 42 hours. Location is on the bus route.

Must be able to read a tape measure without help.

Applicants must be located in Canada.

Responsibilities:

• Use of production manufacturing equipment (belt sander, saw, grinder, press)
• Assembly of conveyor components (including rollers)
• Helping other departments as required (degreasing, cleaning, assembly)
• General housekeeping duties (keep the area in department clean and free of slip/trip hazards)

Required Skills:

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in a machine-shop/manfacturing environment.

• Good communication skills (verbal and written) in English (both written and verbal)

• Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy

• Organizational and time management skills

• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize

• Works well in a team environment

• Positive attitude and ability to problem solve

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.

• Must be able to push and pull a minimum of 100lbs.

• Must be able to work proficiently with hands and wrists and be able to grasp objects

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time

• Must be able to operate machinery

• Must provide CSA-approved steel toe shoes (measure a min of 8" from the floor to the top side)

• Must be able to pass mandatory Math, Grammar, and Health & Safety testing

• Must be able to read a tape measure

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
