Job Title: Project ManagerJob ID: KM366407718Location: Winnipeg, MBOverview:One of our client's services will facilitate the improvement and enablement of healthcare delivery transformation through the use of information and communication technology. Their focus is to provide efficient, effective information management and communication technology processes across the provincial health sector.What you will be doing:
  • Project initiation and planning.
  • Budget development, tracking, and variance reporting.
  • Resource planning and assignment.
  • Stakeholder analysis to identify the key project Stakeholders and their expectations.
  • Project tracking and status reporting.
  • Issue management, including issue logging, tracking, and escalation.
  • Project change management, utilizing the change control process to manage changes to project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Quality management, including review and assurance of deliverables prior to acceptance.
  • Risk management, including risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking risk status, and initiating contingency plans.
  • Communication management, including communication planning and execution of the plan.
  • Deliverable acceptance process, including identification of who will be accepting project deliverables and the process that will be used.
What you must have:
  • Valid PRINCE2 Practitioner or Foundation Certification. Proof of the certification is requested with the response
  • 15 years' experience in a project management role developing project plans and budgets, monitoring project performance against tolerances, and reporting progress to the project steering committee. The response should include at least 3 examples including duration of the projects that total at least 15 years.
  • 10 years' experience as a Project Manager in a healthcare environment to implement clinical information systems. The response should include at least 2 examples including duration of the project or work that total at least 10 years.
  • 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst performing requirements definition and requirements management for healthcare processes or information systems initiatives. The response should include at least 2 examples including duration of the project or work that total at least 5 years.
  • 3 years' experience analyzing and/or implementing integration between healthcare information systems following the Health Level 7 (HL7) standard. The response should include at least 2 examples including duration of the project or work that total at least 3 years.
  • 1 year of experience implementing or integrating systems with a provincial or regional client registry system that is designed to be a primary source of patient demographic information. The integration example should follow the Health Level 7 (HL7) standard. The response should include at least 1 example including duration of the project or work that totals at least 1 year.
  • 3 years' experience implementing electronic patient records in acute care settings. Experience should include planning the initiative and working with stakeholders to determine how the solution will be used future state. The response should include at least 2 examples including duration of the project or work that totals at least 3 years. At least one example should include the implementation of Admission Discharge and Transfer (ADT) functionality.
  • 1 year of experience implementing or using the Allscripts suite of products in a healthcare setting with specific experience related to the Ambulatory Care Module. The response should include at least 1 example including duration of the project or work that totals at least 1 year.
  • 1 year of experience developing technical analysis and architecture for healthcare systems related to Public Health Information Management System (PHIMS) with specific experience related to the PHIMS/Panorama. The response should include at least 1 example including duration of the project or work that totals at least 1 year.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication skills; oral, written and presentation in the English language
