Tri-global Solutions Group Inc. is seeking two (2) Project Manager (SAP ERP Project Implementation) to join our talented Service Delivery team at Alberta Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis in supporting the successful project delivery of a complex, large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Transformation Project.

NOTES ON LOCATION: The successful candidate will work in a hybrid arrangement - minimum of 1 day on-site every 2 weeks at 50 Corriveau Avenue, St. Albert, AB. Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security policies. Standard Hours of work are 08:15 - 16:30 Alberta time.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

AGLC’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)Transformation Project is about reimagining the way we facilitate our core finance, supply chain, and human resources functions –providing increased opportunity to streamline, automate and align processes with leading practices through the use of modernized enterprise-class ERP technologies and enabling master data management and customer relationship management enterprise capabilities.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

We seek a Project Manager with complex large-scale project experience to supplement our ERP team for successful project delivery.

Summary: Application of project management rigor and expertise will result in successful projects delivered on-time, on-budget and with deliverables that meet the expectations of the business and/or end users. The Project Manager will utilize AGLC project management standards to ensure that adopted practices and processes are applied throughout the project life-cycle. The Project Manager will share their expertise with the Project Lead, other Project Managers and project team members. The primary work location is remote/online with a requirement to work from the office if required.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Responsible for the coordination and completion of IT projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project.

• Compile project charters and business/project plans to support activities, including the most suitable approach to be used in the development of each applicable project, to ensure business objectives and data integrity are achieved.

• Manage project(s) that will document business requirements, design and deliver IT solutions that are compliant with and contribute to the Ministries’ enterprise architecture.

• Assist with the development of recommendations including providing details of resource requirements, dependencies, interdependencies, policy implications pertaining to internal/external influences and the methodology to be applied.

• Produce and package deliverables for presentation to various internal support teams, steering committee, and other project stakeholders.

• Manage multiple projects, project resources and project governance.

• Work with project sponsors to ensure that effective project communication exists through the duration of the project including escalation of risks as required.

• Take responsibility for ongoing client satisfaction – manage peer-level client relationships and overcome hurdles to ensure win-win solutions.

• Collaborate with business and IT leadership to develop a well-defined project plan that clearly states the project’s objectives, scope, assumptions, timeline, resource requirements, risks, benefits and budget.

• Work with project sponsors and the project management office to develop a project organization structure with clearly defined roles and responsibilities for all stakeholders.

• Document and report project status against established objectives, milestones, budget and resources and facilitate tracking and closure of issues and risks.

• Develop project schedule plans and strategies, estimate resource requirements, develop and monitor work plans and take corrective action for completion of project tasks.

• Provide guidance to project resources in establishing work priorities and prompt delivery of project tasks.

• Develop, as required, related requirements documentation.

• In collaboration with project sponsors, assess whether the project achieved stated outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement for future similar projects.

• Provide leadership and assistance to business and project teams that require change management and communication support.

• Work within the standards defined by the project management office and in the absence of standards work with the project management office to define new standards.

MANDATORY SKILLS

M1 Proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following (Please provide dates in response): (12+ years)

- University degree in business, management or related discipline & 8-yr Project Manager (PM) experience;

OR

- 2-yr diploma in business, management or related discipline & 10-yr PM experience;

OR

- 1-yr certificate in business, management or related discipline & 11-yr PM experience;

M2 Demonstrated experience working as a Project Manager on a large complex software application development project in an environment of similar size and complexity to the AGLC (8+ years)

M3 Experience defining/managing project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders (8+ years)

M4 Experience developing project deliverables including project charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs and project closures (8+ years)

M5 Demonstrated experience managing IT application development projects with large teams (at least 5 team members) (8+ years)

M6 Available to lead frequent (daily) face-to-face / remote meetings with clients and technical teams as required (8+ years)

DESIRABLE / NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

D1 Currently active PMP or PRINCE2 or equivalent certification as issued by the Project Management Institute or equivalent (attach a copy of the certificate)

D2 Experience creating and managing project GANTT charts in Microsoft Project (7+ years)

D3 Experience leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels (5+ years)

D4 Experience leading change management and communication planning (5+ years)

D5 Experience developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships across the organization, including executive level (5+ years)

D6 Experience using MS Project tools in a project server environment (5+ years)

D7 Experience working with staff, contractors and vendor teams (7+ years)

D8 Working knowledge of Agile software development methodology and scrum process (2+ years)

D9 Ability to work closely with Process Owners and other key stakeholders to communicate progress (5+ years)

D10 Deep understanding of project implementation methodology (7+ years)

D11 Experience managing resources throughout the project delivery lifecycle (7+ years)

D12 Experience working on a large/complex projects working with multiple Project Managers (3+ years)

D13 Do you have related Canadian education (e.g. certificate, diploma or degree) or your foreign credentials certified by Immigration Canada, IQAS or any accreditation acceptable to the Government of Canada or Alberta? If applicable, provide information regarding certification of foreign credentials.
