Project or Materials Engineer

Adecco is currently seeking a highly skilled Project or Materials Engineer for a Temporary role based in Fort McMurray, AB. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing equipment strategies for fixed equipment, evaluating damage mechanisms, and providing recommended mitigating actions. This position requires collaboration with inspections personnel, mechanical engineering, operations, and process technical teams.

Responsibilities: As a Project Materials Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Developing equipment strategies for fixed equipment.

• Evaluating damage mechanisms based on process conditions and inspection history.

• Determining the probability of failure and recommending mitigating actions.

• Collaborating with inspections personnel, mechanical engineering, operations, and process technical teams.

• Ensuring compliance with applicable Codes, Standards, and Regulatory requirements.

Requirements: The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (P. Eng) designation from APEGA.

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering.

• Minimum 5-10 years of work experience as a Materials or Project Engineer.

• Local to Fort McMurray or willing to relocate.

• Strong time management skills and ability to address numerous issues simultaneously.

• Developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders.

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
