Materials Engineer

WestCorp Solutions is seeking an experienced Materials Engineer to support our Client in Fort McMurray, AB. The ideal candidate for this position would be local to Fort McMurray. The shift is Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts. There is client provided bussing to and from Fort McMurray and the worksite each day. This position would be on a contracted term until November 30, 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Develop equipment strategies for fixed equipment.
• Evaluate damage mechanisms.
• Determine probability of failure.
• Recommend mitigation strategies.
• Work within a multi-discipline team.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Engineering
• 5-10 years’ experience
• Professional Engineer status with APEGA
• Excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills
• Developed interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of applicable Codes, Standards, and Regulatory Requirements.
