JOB SUMMARY:
The Psychologist provides service and expertise to the Young Adult outpatient Eating Disorders Program. They practise in an ethical and professional manner and models both professional and organizational core competencies.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
· Strong clinical and diagnostic / formulation skills
· Hospital experience preferred
· Collaborative working relationships with interprofessional team members
· Demonstrated experience and confidence in eating disorders assessment, diagnosis and treatment in transitional-aged youth
· Demonstrated evidence-based practice
· Knowledge and experience with scientific research methodology and analysis.
· Systems approach; including client’s family, multidisciplinary team and community network, considered important
· Commitment to professional development in the area of eating disorders in transitional-aged youth
· Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
· Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, or equivalent
· 3 to 5 years relevant work experience
· Registration with College of Psychologists of Ontario
· Experience and training appropriate to a psychiatric setting and expertise within a brief acute care model
· Substantial training and experience in the areas of advanced psychological assessment skills and treatment of eating disorders in transitional aged youth, ages 17.5 to 25 years of age
