Purchasing Agent

For this job, we offer a $20 to $26 starting wage depending on skills, education, and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Purchasing and purchase order management. Tracking parts from purchasing until they are received
• Contact suppliers to resolve any price, quality, delivery, or invoicing issues
• Communicating any supply problems to project managers
• Ensuring the best supplies are chosen by price shopping with multiple vendors as required as well as ensuring delivery dates are acceptable
• Accurate data entry of purchase orders into our computer system
• Meeting with suppliers as they come to Metalec to discuss orders
• Participate in production meetings to provide information on orders and expected deliveries
• Maintain supplier relationships and communications
• Conduct research and investigate new components or vendors as requested

Requirements:

• Honesty, reliability, professionalism, and trustworthiness
• Experience in purchasing or other office work is an asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, email, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and suppliers
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
