Purchasing Agent

We are a kitchen and bath manufacturer located in Brampton, ON - in business for over 50 years. Our growth has created opportunities for a full time Purchasing Agent.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

We use various equipment, supplies, and services to ensure the smooth functioning of our daily business operations. An effective Purchasing Agent should critically assess suppliers and their products or services and negotiate deals for the organization.

A reliable Purchasing Agent possesses a keen sense of business and keeps detailed transaction records. As a Purchasing Agent, you are required to facilitate the procurement of office supplies, equipment, tools, products, and services for our company to operate smoothly. Responsibilities include:

· Reviewing requisition requirements, preparing purchase orders, and soliciting bids from different providers for products and services

· Researching and comparing suppliers and their products and services

· Choosing the most suitable suppliers or sellers in terms of their reliability, cost-efficiency, and product quality

· Negotiating and administering contracts with different vendors and suppliers

· Monitoring inventory levels

· Analyzing prices to determine reasonable costs for products and services

· Keeping accurate records of all transactions, purchase orders, and receiving

· Balancing cost and quality to buy excellent quality products and services, at the lowest price and in adequate amounts

· Abiding by applicable laws, policies, and regulations on the purchase of products and services

· Scheduling and verifying deliveries

· Establishing and maintaining positive, trustworthy, and long-term relationships with suppliers and vendors

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
