We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Intern to join us for a 12-month internship at our Toronto office.
The successful candidate will be introduced to the exciting world of urban transit. You will be exposed to and be able to contribute to process/practices improvements and to vastly improve your understanding of project/product lifecycle and process associated with it.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist quality department on various tasks related to software and hardware Quality Assurance, as well in updating processes in our Thales Quality Management System such as:
- Assist Management System Admin with publication of process documents
- Assist Quality Functional Manager in follow up with QAMs (Quality Assurance Managers) on various tasks
- Support the metrics collection and update KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Update of QCI process documents to address process CRs (Change Requests)
- Support QAMs with metrics included in QAM to Project Core Team reports
- Update scripts or tools used by Quality team
- Assist other departments on as needed basis
Required Skills and Experience:
- The successful candidate should be working towards a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Business Administration or equivalent
- Fluent in English both in written and oral communication skills
- Able to work full time hours (40 hours) with the start date and the agreed work term
- Desire and ability to learn quickly and to contribute
- Ability to work independently (find solutions and seek help when needed)
- Hands-on experience with Excel and PowerPoint
