Residential Support Worker/Companion

RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER/COMPANION JOB SUMMARY:

VRS Client Services Society is looking for Residential Support Worker/Companionsfor our sites in North Vancouver, Vancouver and Coquitlam, British Columbia. Your duties will include personal care, meal prep, housekeeping and daily assistance in a residential setting. Many of our Clients are young adults with disabilities, much of your time will include assisting with recreational and social outings. The Clients direct their own care and have active life styles so this position will appeal to an individual who enjoys social interaction and recreational/active activities. Some positions do not require a care aid certificate.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
• Care Aide Certificate certification and Care Aide Registry Number considered an asset
• Minimum 1-year experience in the care of individuals with physical disabilities is preferred
• Standard First Aid Certificate or Emergency First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification Level A (considered an asset)
• Must have valid Class 5 Driver's License (experience driving vans considered an asset)

SCHEDULES: Morning, Evening, and Overnight Shifts

• Ongoing need for Casuals (variable availability)

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Salary: $26.00 per hour

• French not required
