The chefs work directly with local farmers to create harvest-inspired menus that capture the essence of the season.

Job Purpose:

The Restaurant Support plays a key role in the success of the Front of House Team. Their purpose is to be a direct assistant to the Servers and Chefs by carrying food, cutting and delivering bread, clearing tables, refilling water, and variety of other tasks relating to the Restaurant Dining Room. The individual in this role is eager to learn and committed to playing a part in the guests’ positive hospitality experience.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver above and beyond guest experiences, highlighting genuine and thoughtful hospitality.
  • Assist Servers and Kitchen team members with various tasks, assisting to create a seamless and efficient guest visit.
  • Clear drinkware and dishes from tables when appropriate, reset tables with necessary items before arrival of next guests, and perform additional cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Aid team in setting up any food displays, bread station, kitchen pass and other areas.
  • Accept and perform additional tasks as required for optimal performance of the restaurant.
  • Actively represent and promote Pearle Hospitality’s core values within the workplace.
  • Act as an ambassador of the Ancaster Mill and Pearle Hospitality.
  • Follow company policies and procedures as defined and outlined by Pearle Hospitality.
  • Follow all Health and Safety standards to ensure a safe work environment for all guests and team members.
  • Adhere to all cleanliness and sanitization practices.
  • Maintain professional appearance and act with integrity and honesty.

What we would like you to bring to the position:

  • Sunday availability
  • Previous restaurant experience considered an asset
  • Smart Serve Certificate
  • WHMIS Certification
  • Communication: Listen attentively to customer requests, able to accurately identify needs or notify appropriate team members.
  • Adaptability: Ability to remain poised and professional in a fast-paced environment and positively interact with a variety of diverse guests and team members.
  • Teamwork: Work with Servers and Kitchen team members in effort to create the best possible experience for guests.
  • Attention to detail: Resetting tables between guests to standards – ensuring all necessary items are properly laid out for next guests. Note any guest allergies and adhere to proper procedure in handling those accommodations. Understand the composition of menu items, noting ingredients and allergens present in each item.
