Rf Radio Engineer / Specialist

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Telecoms/Computer Engineering

- Registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer/Licensee with APEGA

- At least 6 years of engineering design experience on one or more of the following areas:

• LMR (Land Mobile Radio), specific design experience with MOTOTRBO and P25 System is preferred
• 4G/LTE/5G planning, predictive coverage and throughput modeling, design, and Optimization
• RF predictive coverage modeling and predicting tools (Atoll, Spectrum-E, Pathloss, Ekahau or equivalent)
• Wi-Fi, wireless PTMP/PTP, satellite, microwave
• RF system infrastructure including repeaters, antennas, filters, combiners, multi-couplers, duplexers, etc.
• Good understanding of RF propagation
• Familiarity with IP network design
• Telecom sites design & development (Telecom Towers & Telecom Buildings)
• Knowledge of CEC, CSA S37, Motorola R56 and other relevant industry standards

- Effective verbal and written communications in English

- Effective technical abilities and aptitude

- Great attention to details

- Demonstrate ability to learn and apply new skills/concepts

- Excellent skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe

- Engineering design experience in an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) environment is an asset

- Ability to draft engineering drawings using AutoCAD or MicroStation is an asset

- Eligible to work in Canada
