Your mission
As a Quality Engineer or Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the consistent quality of our products while adhering to industry standards, regulations, and our company's quality assurance guidelines. You will collaborate closely with production teams, plant management, and external stakeholders to maintain and improve our product quality and process efficiency.
Responsibilities:

- Identify and maintain routine quality checks on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished Kraft Pulp to ensure adherence to established quality standards.
- Recommend testing equipment and methodologies to assess and report on product quality.
- Assist the Lab Supervisor with analyzing QA results and making recommendations for improvement.
- Identify areas for process improvement and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Analyze data and make data-driven recommendations for process enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and industry-specific quality requirements.
- Keep abreast of any updates or changes in regulations that may impact the production process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality tests, process parameters, and inspection results.
- Prepare detailed reports and communicate quality-related information to relevant stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.

- Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, equipment, and analytical techniques relevant to the pulp and paper industry.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team building skills.

Education and /or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pulp and Paper Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory, with a strong background in Kraft Pulp or pulp and paper manufacturing.
