Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and establish quality systems, inspection plans, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
- Calibrate gages and maintain the calibration control database for gages used in the plant.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality related policies and procedures based on corporate and government/customer requirements.
- Participate in failure analysis and corrective action investigations and assist in the timely dispositioning and processing of nonconforming material.
- Act as liaison for the company in coordinating and resolving customer and supplier complaints and concerns, relative to quality performance, investigations, system audits, and corrective actions.
- Participate as assigned on Process Improvement Teams or other Continuous Improvement Groups.
- Schedule and participate in audits for QMS/QC conformance in the plant.
- Initiate Corrective Action Requests and monitors follow-up for effective closure and elimination of identified deficiencies.
- Participate in key metrics collection from across the facility to monitor key process variables.
- Maintain document control database.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Proficient in reading CAD drawings and tolerances.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Control/ QMS
- Working knowledge of MS office
- Experienced in using inspection gages.
- Participated in RRCA/8D exercises.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution;
- Lean Six sigma certification or Certificate course completed in a field related to QA/QC.
- Experience in SQL/VBA and/or database programming.
- Knowledge of GD&T principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in using inspection gages
- Experienced in RRCA.
