RISK MANAGEMENT ANALYST

The Simcoe
County District School Board is seeking qualified applicants for the position
of Risk Management Analyst. Reporting
to the Controller, the Risk Management Analyst will plan,
coordinate, and document the project Risk Management process. Using strong facilitation
and quantitative analysis skills, the successful candidate will ensure that
risks are identified, evaluated, quantified, mitigated, and monitored following
corporate policies and procedures. Maintain databases related to risk
management / health and safety & analyze data that identifies trends and
areas of opportunity for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
Minimum of a three (3) year
college diploma or university degree in
business, Risk Management, health and safety or a related field;
Three (3) to five (5) years’
experience in operational Risk Management, risk analysis, or a related role;
Strong analytical skills;
Knowledge of risk fundamentals
is required;
Working knowledge of current
legislation, e.g., Education Act, Insurance Act, Occupiers Liability Act, and
historical case law;
Excellent oral and written
communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate within own team, other
teams within the board and external stakeholders;
Excellent computer literacy
and the ability to work with a variety of computer software programs, such as
MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, database applications, etc.;
Excellent organization and
time management skills;
The successful candidate
must possess a valid driver’s licence;
The nature of this
position will require the successful candidate to service large geographical
areas.
TESTING MAY BE REQUIRED DURING THE SELECTION PROCESS.
This is a full-time permanent position. The regular
work year for this position is twelve (12) months of the year. The compensation
range for this twelve (12) month position is $56,337 to $70,423 per year,
depending on qualifications and experience. This position is based on a thirty-five
(35) hour work week.
Participation in the OMERS Pension Plan is
mandatory for all full-time permanent employees,
even if currently in receipt of an OMERS
pension.
