What You’ll Be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote and deliver health and safety training courses including but not limited to Working at Heights, forklift training, aerial work platform, etc. to external customers and to Cooper Equipment Rentals employees in the Greater Sudbury Area.
- Lead safety training modules, hands on demonstrations, verification and testing of safe and proper use of equipment and monitor effectiveness of the training.
- Analyze feedback from training courses and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Manage training schedules and records, and complete required paperwork and processes in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assist with prospecting new customer training opportunities to help drive training revenue.
- Effectively manage and develop relationships with both external customers and internal training participants, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
- Order and Coordinate supplies and materials required for training sessions.
- Achieve and maintain appropriate professional credentials and certifications.
- Participate in course & trainer evaluations.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Class G driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the Greater Sudbury Area.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience facilitating safety training courses.
- Instructor training in Working at Heights, forklift, Aerial Work Platform, or other similar courses would be a definite asset. Train the trainer qualification is preferred.
- Post-secondary education in Health and Safety, and possession of CRSP certification (or working towards certification) is an asset.
- Thorough knowledge of OHSA and Regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of the construction industry and construction equipment operation.
- Ability to develop work plans and schedules, set and meet goals, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability converse with colleagues, customers, and other parties in a professional and courteous manner.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Self-starter with a strong drive for results. Very customer focused.
