Sales Assistant With Barista Experience

Criteria:
We will not be hiring if you
-Do not have verifiable customer service experience in Canada (we may talk to your former employer)
-live in Vancouver, New Westminster, Langley, Abbotsford, Coquitlam, North Vancouver, or any other place with a difficult commute. Surrey residents please do not apply if you do not have a car to get to work, public transport is a very long commute (job is open to residents of Delta, Ladner, White Rock only)
-do not speak fluent English (this is a high-paced environment)
-rely on parents or other family members or friends to get you to and from work

Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with their purchases and provide excellent customer service
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area
- Handle food and beverage orders, including taking customer orders and serving food
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations
- Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and inventory management
- Use the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions and generate receipts
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and monitoring product levels
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the sales area

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or sales role necessary
- barista drinks are popular - if you are comfortable working the bar it is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
