Administrative Assistant
SSD Sawmill Sales Direct is a locally owned and operated sawmill in Ladysmith BC. We locally source Western Red Cedar, Yellow Cedar and Douglas Fir and offer high quality products, produced at the mill. We service the public and contractors.
We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team, to greet and assist customers through their transactions to create a positive experience at the sawmill.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Handling office duties, answering phones, responding to emails.
· Conduct sales activities and build relationships with customers including promoting and recommending products or services that match customer needs, informing customers on pricing, options, or status on pending orders
· Working knowledge of Microsoft office products
· Utilize point-of-sale system and software system
· Learn and maintain knowledge of products offered
· Create poster advertising new products and post them online.
· Generate reports for the owner and employees
· Complete other duties assigned
Job Requirements
· 2 years of customer service experience
· Excellent communication and teamwork
· Ability to develop a comprehensive knowledge of our products
· Math skills
· Desire to learn and be a motivated worker
Job Type: Full-time/ Permanent
Salary: $21.00 an Hour
Benefits
· Health spending account
· One week off with pay at Christmas, in addition to allowable holiday time.
· Bonus twice per year starting at $250 dollars going up $250 dollars every six months to a maximum of $1,000
Schedule
· Day Shift
· Saturdays when required
