Sales Representative Craft Beer 17/Hr+Commission+Expenses

Abandoned Rail Brewing Co. is looking for a part time sales rep in the Okanagan Region draft focused sales.

The Company:

Abandoned Rail Brewing Co. is a new family run farm craft brewery, established in 2022. Situated on the scenic Naramata Bench in Penticton B.C. Canada. We grow 5 acres of barley on the brewery property. Penticton has the highest densities of breweries in BC with 8 craft breweries to choose from. Abandoned Rail stands out with high quality unfiltered and unpasteurized balanced beer. We have 12 taps in our boutique lounge, patio and picnic area. Equipped with a 10hl semi-automated brewing system from CRU brewing systems and Twin Monkeys, Gunnisson canner. Our brewmaster, Peter Schulz, is a German certified Brewmaster.

Flagship Beers:

• One Track Mind, German Pilsner
• Tunnel Vison, English style IPA
• Marzen, Bavarian style Lager

Seasonals: release one seasonal on average per month. Ie. Smoke Lager, WC IPA, Hazy Pale Ale, Red hefeweizen, Barrel Aged Bock beers etc...

The Position:

• This job requires someone with a vehicle (vehicle expenses provided)
• An ACTIVE knowledge of beer styles and Craft Beer industry/culture
• The position is part time and has an allocation of 20 hours/week.
• The candidate will work with management to create a list of establishments that would be suitable to sell our product.
• Acquiring new accounts and managing client relationships; establish and maintain a trusting, positive rapport
• Ensuring the customer is satisfied with product and communicating with management and logistics to get them their products on time
• Tracking sales, creating sales report and tracking invoices using provided software

Pay:

• $17/hr plus a commission % on each sale made.
• The position is part-time to start but if sales targets are met it will be moved to full-time after a 3-month probation period. Full-time employment is accompanied by employee benefits.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be a self-starter and disciplined in completing task
• Must possess a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to take initiative
• Sales experience an asset
• Hospitality experience an asset
• Must have good knowledge of beer and beer styles
• Passion about the food and beverage industry
