Our team is seeking a driven, remote-based Business Development Representative to manage inbound sales, referrals from clients and partners, and support the executive on enterprise accounts.


To be considered for this role you must be living and eligible to work in Canada or the United States, have experience selling B2B software and have at least 3 years of work experience in financial services or fintech in sales, admin, or compliance roles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Booking meetings with inbound leads coming from our website, partner referrals, and client referrals, as well as re-engaging past prospects to identify new opportunities
  • Managing full sales cycle workflows which include qualifying leads, generating opportunities, running product demonstrations, opening and closing accounts
  • Scheduling meetings, calls, and appointments with leads
  • Preparing internal documentation/reporting on ongoing lead generation, nurturing, and acquisition
  • Using Hubspot CRM to manage all opportunities, activities, and sales commnuications
  • Managing new opportunities through the sales cycle diligently and professionally, while balancing conversion and long-term business opportunities
  • Utilizing templates of email and call scripts, lead nurturing scripts, closing call scripts, sales quotes, and onboarding processes
  • Working with Product Specialists, Sales Engineers, and Customer Success in order to provide solutions to our customers
  • Coordinating customer evaluations of iComply to ensure a Net Promotor Score of at least 8 on each account.
  • Developing your sales skills through frequent 1:1’s and group training
  • Keeping up-to-date with our new product features and updates
  • Gather feedback from customers and prospects and send to the product team as new feature requests
  • Keeping the energy up and inspiring a positive, engaged attitude among your team
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by upholding a strict level of confidentiality
  • Having a deep understanding of the buyer's journey, from initial awareness to the decision-making stage
  • Conducting market research to understand industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs
  • Setting and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue targets
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to provide insights on lead quality and feedback on marketing campaigns
  • Regularly monitoring and reporting on competitor activities, pricing strategies, and product developments

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • 3+ years of B2B Business Development experience for SaaS or Enterprise B2B software, and/or,
  • 3+ years of experience in identity verification, customer onboarding, due diligence, KYC or AML compliance for a financial services, compliance, or fintech company;
  • Knowledge of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) regulators, regulatory requirements, and competing solutions in this space;
  • Proven track record of building relationships with C-suites and decision makers;
  • Experience with both transactional and consultative sales and knowing how to accurately position value;
  • You can use Hubspot CRM, Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets), and LinkedIn in your sleep;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, preference for candidates that can speak at least additional language (ie. Spanish, French, German) at a business level;
  • Track record of attention to detail, meticulous planning and relentless time-bound execution;
  • Ability to demonstrate self-motivation and reliable communication in a remote work environment;
  • Proactive about continuous improvement both personally and professionally;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, such as honesty, respect, inclusivity, and flexibility.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
