Salon Receptionist

Cactus Club Salon & Spa is celebrating over 30 years in business and we are looking for a Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will ensure the utmost guest satisfaction by booking appointments, checking out clients, suggesting retail and will perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.

Our Receptionists are the first point of contact for our company. Therefore, the successful candidate will provide outstanding customer service to every client who walks through our doors.

The successful candidate must have a positive attitude and enthusiastic personality, love working with the public and be an exceptional team player. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This role will require working shiftwork with availability from 8am to 9pm during the week, and 8am to 6pm on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive
• Direct clients to the appropriate service provider and location
• Answer phone calls, book appointments, check out clients, recommend retail products, deal with inquiries and confirm bookings
• Ensure reception and retail areas are clean and presentable, stocked with all necessary stationery, material and products
• Merchandise retail area
• Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
• Receive, sort and manage daily mail/deliveries
• Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access to the reception desk
• Order supplies and maintain inventory
• Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying and nightly deposits

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Salon and Spa experience preferred
• Ability to work within a strong team focused environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Professional attitude and fashionable appearance
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
• Excellent organizational skills
• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Superior customer service attitude
• Additional certification in Office Management is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week

Day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Shift:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
