Jardeg is recruiting localJourneyperson and 3rd Year Apprentice scaffolders to join the esteemed team at CNRL Wolf Lake near Bonnyville, Alberta.

CNRL Wolf Lake is a SAGD site and you’ll enjoy a well-structured 5-days-on and 2-days-off rotation, with 10-hour workdays (10 hours Overtime on Friday) and 5% RRSP

Only local Scaffolders to the Bonnyville/Cold Lake area will be considered.

Reporting to site supervision, the role of Journeyperson Scaffolder will be expected to start in January workng on a 5/2 shift. This position will perform scaffolding duties to support our client located in Bonnyville, AB.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Journeyperson or 3rd Year Apprentice Scaffold Builder qualification
• Qualified to inspect and tag scaffolding accordingly
• Able to safely erect, maintain, repair, and modify all types of industrial scaffolding with minimal supervision (i.e. towers, cantilevers, hanging scaffolds)
• Self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
• Must be receptive to working with short notice for call outs and over time as per request
• High commitment to safety, own and others
• Must possess and maintain a valid Alberta Drivers’ License
• Able to meet requirements of Physical Demands Analysis
• Achieve 100% completion of mandatory Quinn and client training
• Pre-access Drug & Alcohol test
• Training Required: H2S Alive, CSTS 2020, CSO, Fall Protection, Confined space

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Safely erect, maintain, repair, and modify all types of industrial scaffolding with minimal supervision (i.e. towers, cantilevers, hanging scaffolds)
• Estimate scaffolding jobs effectively
• Identify ideal type of scaffolding material to use for the job (i.e. frame, tube & clamp, system)
• Receive permits for required tasks (i.e. pending qualification as a permit receiver) and complete all scaffolding checklists prior to builds
• Effectively communicate scope of work to scaffolding crews
• Review Site Safe Work Procedures associated with the job prior to task execution
• Manage and maintain an inventory of current scaffold material.
• Participate in pre-job toolbox meetings and conduct Pre-Task Analysis to identify potential hazards and measures to eliminate or minimize them
• Correct unsafe acts and bring unsafe conditions to the attention of immediate supervisor
• Work within a multi trade environment
• Maintain relations with client and co-workers through effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Assist with other duties as required
