Position Summary:
Scale Operator:
Greet and direct all customers while providing efficient and courteous customer service. Operate the weigh-station scale, weighing trucks, and trailers IN and OUT over the scale. Entering in the customer and load information accurately to maintain the accuracy of billing. Interfacing with company drivers, outside haulers, and 3rd party vehicles. Answering phone calls in a professional and enthusiastic manner Assisting with office duties, filing and paperwork as directed, must be efficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) Process payment from customers, as needed. Ensure that all customers are following our safety program and assist with our safety training as needed. Ensuring that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate materials. Providing general upkeep of the scale house Rotating shifts during our hours of business 7am-5pm Work overtime as needed, which includes rotating weekends and holidays. Reliability, punctuality and being a team player is a must. Ability to work independently and muti-tasking is a necessity.
