Vancouver Island Regional Library is looking for a Scheduling Assistant for a Casual on Call opportunity with our Scheduling Team located at our Nanaimo Harbourfront Branch.
The Scheduling Assistant is responsible for performing scheduling routines and provides clerical support as assigned. These responsibilities and tasks are carried out under the overall supervision of the Scheduling Supervisor and within the regional library’s policies, procedures, standards and resources. Troubleshooting, accuracy, organization, high productivity and independence are essential in this position.
All duties and responsibilities are directly aligned with the Mission, Vision and Values and Strategic Plan of the Vancouver Island Regional Library.
Required Education & Experience:
- Completion of Grade 12 and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant full time experience.
- Ability to work accurately, independently and within tight deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent typing/keyboarding skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office including proficiency with databases.
- Valid BC driver’s license.
- Satisfactory completion of a Criminal Record Check.
Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and the demands required of any position.
You are required to have a valid BC Driver’s License and will also be required to satisfactorily complete a Criminal Record Check (Working with Children & Vulnerable Adults.)
