Job description

Holy Family School in Grimshaw, Alberta is seeking a School Office Manager/Assistant to work in a team environment to ensure the office is managed in an efficient, professional manner. The position will be a full time position, with the role divided between School Office-assistant and office-manager.

The person shall contribute to an inviting atmosphere for students, staff, parents/guardians and all visitors to the school. The position requires regular communications with administration and division office staff. Start Date: As soon as mutually agreed.

Office Manager Roles:

  • School-based management budget
  • Bookkeeping for accounts, school generated funds and petty cash
  • Process all school requisitions
  • Staff leaves and reporting as required
  • Process purchase orders using financial system

Office Assistant Roles:

  • Reception and Clerical Duties, School and Student Records, other duties specific to school need

The ideal candidate will:

  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
  • Hold a positive and progressive attitude.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently and cooperatively.
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills and phone manners.
  • Ability to perform duties with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Experience working in a computerized environment is required.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a Christ-centered environment.

Compensation

  • 7.5 hours per day, on school calendar
  • Salary based on education and experience, full health benefits as per AP 440- Instructional Support Staff Procedure and Grid - please contact for specific information
