Seasonal Floater Operator/Facility Assistant-Crossfield-Central Alberta Co-Op

Our Agro site in Crossfield, Alberta is looking for a full-time Seasonal Floater Operator/Facility Assistant to join our team.

Term: Approximately from May 1, 2024 to September 30, 2024

Full-time: 40 hours/week.

Availability requirements: Weekdays and weekends - mornings, afternoons and evenings.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in operation and maintenance of Agro site and fertilizer plant
• Responsible for safe operation of Fertilizer spreader
• Assisting with yard operations pertaining to Fertilizer, chemical and warehousing
• Operate equipment and fertilizer blend plant
• Warehouse shipping and receiving
• Handle special customer requests in an efficient and friendly manner
• Load, unload, and deliver agri-products in an efficient manner
• Assist with product sales, new product lines
• Participate in inventory management and control procedures
• Ensure the proper appearance of all facilities and equipment, with adherence to image checklist
• Carry out regular preventative maintenance program and conduct minor repairs
• Other duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications:

• High School diploma is preferred
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence is required; must provide an acceptable driver's abstract upon hire
• Experience in customer service is preferred
• Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
