Job description
We are looking for a dynamic individual who can:
1. Show us "the past" by balancing the books, reporting results (P & L, etc...) and filing taxes
2. Help manage the company’s future by creating strategies, forecasts and pathways to achieve future goals.
The day to day work will be as follows but not limited to, working with the team to ensure the following are taken care of:
- Reporting – Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reports (using QBO)
- Weekly, monthly and quarterly activity statement preparation and filing
- Payroll
- Reconciliations – banking, CRA, debtors and creditors
- Year end financial compliance
- IF required, helping the accounting staff with data entry, etc... to ensure the reporting gets done on the schedule.
The candidate will be working with the other managers on :
- Business strategy
- Cashflow management
- Pipeline reporting and forecasting
- Budgeting and financial modelling
- Reporting to stakeholders
- Advising the board and executives
The successful candidate must have:
- A degree in accounting and have 5+ years in a similar role
- An in depth knowledge on how to use Quick Books Online
- A "team player"attitude. Willing to help out the rest of the accounting team with whatever is required (ex: data entry, cleaning up old issues, working with the staff to overcome obstacles, etc...).
