Senior Accountant

Position Summary:
As a Senior Accountant at the company, you will play a pivotal role in managing all financial aspects of the organization. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in accounting practices, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment. Reporting directly to the CEO and Vice President, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, timely transaction processing, and effective communication with clients and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform full-cycle accounting tasks including invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Manage expense coding, administration, and reconciliation.
• Oversee payroll processing and ROEs in collaboration with external payroll services.
• Conduct bank deposits, account reconciliations, and online commercial banking activities.
• Administer credit card processing and reconcile accounts.
• Generate regular reports on cash flow, budget, and profit and loss statements.
• Manage CRA accounts, including compliance with withholding taxes and GST regulations.
• Prepare financial statements, general ledgers, and reports for ownership review.
• Coordinate year-end tax preparation with external accountants and facilitate communication.
• Provide sales reporting and tax documentation to clients.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for financial inquiries from clients, customers, and vendors.

Experience Required:

• CPA designation with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Quickbooks with a minimum of 5 years of experience, including familiarity with its Classes feature.
• Advanced proficiency in both Mac and PC environments.
• Strong command of Google Mail and Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with Dropbox, cloud storage, and internet research.
• Active participation in social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
• Working knowledge of CRM software, preferably Salesforce.
• Experience in a CPA's office with exposure to multiple industries is advantageous.
