We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time Senior Accountant at our head office in Red Deer, AB.

What will you do?
- Assist with preparing accurate general ledger account reconciliations, working papers and intercompany reconciliations
- Contribute to the preparation of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including consolidation of multiple companies
- Complete and submit remittances for all corporate taxes and GST returns
- Conduct daily investigations into average cost variances to identify and address discrepancies promptly
- Support Accounts Payable team with vendor payment reviews, wire transfers, and other payment processes
- Manage the capital asset sub ledger and reporting activities
- Assist in planning and completion of inventory counts
- Provide accounting support and expertise for multiple companies within the same ownership
What do you need?
- Post-Secondary Accounting Certificate or Diploma; CPA designation is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Quickbooks Payroll
- Ability to foster strong relationships with external accountants and various Government agencies
- Proficient in full-cycle accounting including inventory reconciliations, payroll backup, payables, receivables, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset tracking
- Experience in dealing with a multi-company and location environment is advantageous
- Strong financial analysis skills, attention to detail and exceptional problem solving skills
- Highly motivated working in both a team environment and independently
