Junior Accountant

Responsibilities:

· Preparation of bank reconciliations, working paper audit schedules within a multi-currency environment.

· Assist and prepare financial statements.

· Assist and prepare year end working papers.

· Preparation of monthly HST returns.

· Perform account analysis and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions.

· Assist with various internal and external audits

· Special projects as required.

Qualifications:

· Preferred candidate to have at least 3 years’ experience in all aspects of financial reporting and preparation of year end audit schedules.

· Must be able to work independently and work towards meeting deadlines in a busy team environment.

· Must have strong communication, analytical and excellent excel skills.

· Exposure to AS400 environment and experience in wholesale distribution comprises a definite asset.
