POSITION OVERVIEW
As a vital member of the accounting team, the Senior Accountant will have extensive accounting experience and will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Prepare and file tax returns and other financial reports
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits
- Mentor and train junior staff members
- Accounts payables functions including processing invoices, verifying transaction details, and preparing payments
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of recorded transactions and investigate any discrepancies
- Monitor and control expenses by reviewing reimbursement requests, verifying supporting documentation, and ensuring adherence to expense policies
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA Certification or working towards strongly preferred
- 3+ years of experience doing full cycle accounting
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and basic understanding of financial statements
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
- Preferably, prior experience in a finance or accounting function with experience interacting in ERP software
HOURS OF WORK
Regular work schedule will be Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm.
