ABOUT THE ROLE
As an SFA, you have outstanding analytic skills, a strong eye for business, and excellent interpersonal abilities! You'll be a part of the Canadian Omni Sales & Insights team and partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, Logistics, Planning, Analytics, and Dotca Operations. This role will lead the annual budgeting process, variance analysis, and KPI trend analysis for Dotca sales!
WHAT YOU'LL DO
-Facilitate and enhance all critical financial processes pertaining to sales forecasting, encompassing Budgeting, Official Reforecasts (R1/R2), and supported by critical metrics. Continuously integrate evolving trends and pertinent insights into forecasts to optimally bolster business operations.
-Construct an advanced analytical framework tailored to deciphering key sales KPIs, ensuring accessibility to non-technical partners.
-Collaborate closely with business partners to gather forecast inputs from across the business, including base business trends, promotional plans, new launch volumes, and seasonal volume to develop accurate demand forecasts.
-Compile a comprehensive catalogue of Risks and Opportunities associated with the consensus demand plan, steering management with cross-functional teams to mitigate or capitalize on identified factors.
-Spearhead monthly demand sales forecast review meetings with cross-functional partners, encouraging dialogue on assumptions, statistical baselines, and endorsing recommended 3-6 month demand sales plans.
-Continually update, monitor, and report on critical performance indicators, including forecast accuracy and bias, identifying areas ripe for improvement and implementing strategic solutions to drive ongoing improvement.
-Generate daily forecasts for sales, units, and AOV to advise distribution center labor planning processes.
-Collaborate with senior management to furnish monthly sales insights and hind sighting on KPIs, contributing to comprehensive leadership assessments during monthly business reviews.
-Innovate and implement improvements to existing business processes and tools, ensuring streamlined operations and optimized performance.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
-Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, adept at fostering relationships across all organizational levels.
-Proven track record of successfully supporting the entire budget cycle, from setting targets/goals to effectively socializing them with business partners.
-Proven expertise and deep understanding of critical facets within the realm of online business and sales forecasting
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance or Business highly preferred
-Minimum 3-4 years of hands-on experience in FP&A, forecasting, demand planning, or financial reporting
-Advanced proficiency in Excel and Financial Systems, with expertise in SAP Business Objects and SQL experience considered a valuable asset
-Solid grounding in mathematical and statistical principles, empowering informed decision-making and accurate forecasting methodologies.
