Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Senior Architect with experience and interest in the architectural design of Operations, Storage, and Maintenance Facilities to join our team. The successful candidate can work from any of AECOM's Ontario office locations.

Major Responsibilities:
As part of the design team, will lead in the production of creative, functional and innovative designs for Operations, Storage, and Maintenance Facilities clients and collaborate with management on preparation of project proposals and feasibility studies.
Provide support to the Architectural Manager/ Sector lead Architect on all phases of building design projects as required, and assist in growing this sector
Meet with clients to discuss potential new work and/or review project requirements
Preparation of design and contract documents, document checking, manage construction review and contract administration throughout the duration of a project
Communicate with construction team to provide information and solve problems
Communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization
Minimum Requirements:
In order to be considered for the position, candidates must possess at least the following:
University Degree in Architecture.
A minimum of six (6) years of Architectural design experience, including experience working on Operations, Storage, and Maintenance Facilities.
Must be a Licensed Architect with the OAA and/or other Provinces.
Qualifications
Preferred Requirements:
Prefer 10 (ten) years of Architectural design experience, including experience working on Operations, Storage, and Maintenance Facilities
Ability to work on technical and financial proposals and seek for new client and potential work.
LEED certification and project experience is a strong asset
Thorough knowledge of building systems and construction detailing
Strong, hands-on technical knowledge, document review, consultant coordination and experience in field review and contract administration
Demonstrated strong creativity in designExceptional technical knowledge of building construction and the Ontario Building Code
Ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team environment
Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills
Additional Information
Relocation is not available for this position.
Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $80,500 - $135,000.
