Senior Bookkeeper - Full Time

We are looking for an experienced Full Time bookkeeper to join our team! We are paperless, work remote, support a team culture, and go above and beyond to meet our clients individual needs.

*NOTE* All work is completed online. Please be comfortable with cloud accounting, using apps and working remotely.

What is the position?

• Managing multiple clients simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
• Ensuring clients’ bookkeeping is kept up-to-date and is accurate
• Completing full-cycle bookkeeping on a regular basis in QBO or QB Desktop
• Reconciling accounts
• Preparing month-end reports, or regular reports, as required
• Completing regular review on files
• Submitting tax remittance forms, WSIB, and other government documents
• Preparing the file and necessary documents for year-end for the accountant
• Interacting and responding to client queries related to bookkeeping for your files

Who you are!

• Have a strong understanding of accrual bookkeeping, debits and credits, clearing accounts, account reconciliations, how accounting systems work on the back-end etc.
• You like technology! We are an online/virtual company and use a handful of online apps
• Can work independently for multiple clients while keeping them organized
• Friendly and well spoken
• Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills
• *Strong internet connection is a must*
• Have a laptop, large screen monitor, and proper home office set-up is an asset
• 5+ years experience in bookkeeping
• 2+ years experience with QBO and/or QuickBooks Desktop
• Knowledge of online apps is an asset (Xero, Wagepoint, Receipt Bank, Hubdoc)
• Experience with tax filings such as HST, WSIB, T4s, etc

This job is remote and therefore open to candidates across Canada.

Wage is based on experience and capabilities. Only those selected will be called for an interview.
