Description:
Our Edmonton-based client in the financial services sector, is seeking a talented Senior Integration Specialist for a 3+ month contract employment opportunity. The successful Senior Integration Specialist will be responsible for the planning, coordination, development, and vision of all activities related to the integration of software, applications, and third-party solutions to meet the business requirements of the organization. Integration between on-premises and cloud-based commercial software applications will be the primary focus of this contract-based role.
Responsibilities:

-Develop EA system integration standards.
-Develop and maintain the technology stack to include commercial or open-source integration platforms.
-Develop and maintain an application architecture blueprint for the organization.
-Provide expert advice to project teams on the use of integration technology and system architecture including integration best practices.
-Oversee critical steps within the Software Development Life Cycle components that impact enterprise-wide development/architecture - integration standards.
-Provide oversight in standards adherence through reviews of project work including detailed technical specifications and application code.
-Work with project teams to define requirements for integration strategies of their projects into Enterprise Architecture.
-Oversee development and support of batch and back-end processes related to the application portfolio.
-Look at opportunities to optimize and automate, help with root cause analysis and problem resolution.
-Communicate and document project status.
-Document integration architecture while adhering to security best practices.
 
Requirements:

-Computer Science degree/diploma, and 7+ years of relevant work experience.
-Knowledge of enterprise architecture, systems architecture, integration architecture, and data architecture standards, frameworks, and practices.
-Knowledge of common system integration methods and technologies including Web services, SOAP, JSON, XML Schema Definition (XSD), Extensible Markup Language (XML), Business process automation and orchestration tools and software.
-Expertise in solution design, integration, and development, in addition to strong business understanding and agile methodology.
-Experience with the implementation of Continuous Integration practices and tooling to support automated build and delivery of commercial software.
-Experience working with APIs from commercial software applications.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Must be eligible to work in Canada.
