What is the opportunity?
As Vendor Integration Solution Specialist you’ll be responsible for overseeing the integration of the BaNCs software and its various releases within RBC IS IT ecosystem and its various environments (Sandbox, QA, UAT, Prod). You’ll become for RBC IS the BaNCs SME in regards to BaNCs positioning within our IT ecosystem. You’ll participate to all projects impacting BaNCs software solution, with the support and contribution, to analyze impacts and make sure to get all resources aligned and the support required to contribute to the success of all initiatives involving BaNCs solution.
BaNCs solution is used by RBC IS as core application to cover key business services and processed in Custody area. Its positioning withing RBC IS ecosystem makes it one of the critical solution used to offer to RBC IT Business operation teams and our clients, the expected level of service around custody and transaction processing.
What will you do?
1. As member of the RBC IS Change the Bank IT team, you’ll be Leading BaNCs software integration within RBC IS eco-system providing technical guidance in relationship with the vendor of the solution.
2. Collaborating directly with BaNCs Product teams, RBC IS Product point of contact, Solution architects, Project Managers and various project team members on various projects impacting BaNCs solution to understand and assess impacts
3. You’ll become RBC IS BaNCs integration technical SME playing a pivotal role between the vendor of the solution and RBC IS teams
4. You’ll master the RBC IS upstream and downstream system BaNCs dependencies
6. You’ll work with IT production support team on the rationalization of the tech infrastructure supporting various BaNCs instances used by RBC
7. You’ll be directly involved in the BaNCs release plan review to ensure RBC IS resource alignment
8. You’ll improve and maintain documentation related to BaNCs integration processes, including integration design specifications, technical diagrams in collaboration with our lead architect.
9. You’ll work with vendor and lead architect to look at the latest trends and technologies leveraged by vendor on BaNCs and you’ll recommend potential improvements to existing integration processes and infrastructure, technologies used by RBC IS.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
You must know vendor’s BaNCs software from an integration point view. You must have experience of software integration within a bank or a Finance related IT ecosystem. You must be familiar with managing, supporting software release plan and associated deployments of a software vendor solution. You must have experience of working in a large company involving various IT teams within IT organization and with complex IT ecosystem supported by multiple platforms and technologies. You must have demonstrated your capabilities to lead activities and to handle your responsibilities in a solution-oriented way. You must have appetite to learn and get opportunities to grow.
Nice to Have
Having an experience in software industry supporting client integration Having already supported vendor’s BaNCs solution integration Familiar with DevOps capabilities for deployment automation
