What is the opportunity?
The Senior Manager, Communications, Strategic Initiatives, RBCx will report to the Head of Strategy & Operations at RBCx to develop and execute creative internal communication strategies to that drive awareness of the platform’s vision and business priorities, while enabling strong employee engagement and alignment. This individual will also have dotted-line reporting to the Director, Corporate Communications, RBCx.
In addition to their direct and indirect senior reports, the successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across HR, People Experience, Strategy, Operations and key business partners within the RBCx platform to support various Strategic Initiatives leveraging their strong storytelling, creativity and project management skills.
What will you do?
- Develop and execute internal communications strategies to drive awareness and alignment around RBCx’s vision, priorities, culture & employee engagement initiatives and success stories
- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of Town Halls, AMAs and RBCx’s Unscripted Series events
- Manage the development and execution of internal communications supporting priority employee engagement initiatives, strategic leadership events and platform announcements
- Support the content strategy development and execution of RBCx’s Bold Brew newsletter in collaboration with RBCx Corporate Communications partners
- Lead RBCx’s internal communication channel strategy
- Develop internal speeches, presentations and other executive communications to support the Head of Operations & Strategy and Head, RBCx
- Provide strategic day-to-day communications counsel to senior business leaders and internal partners
- Collaborate with P&CB and RBCx Corporate Communication partners to support the alignment and cascade of strategic leadership messages, as needed
- Provide regular reporting/metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communication efforts
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Undergraduate degree/postgraduate certificate or equivalent in communications, public relations, journalism, English or related field
- 7+ years of communications experience
- Extensive experience providing strategic communications advice to senior executives
- Extensive internal communications and project/event management experience
- A strong wordsmith who can speak and write in a clear, concise and compelling way
- A creative mind with a passion and keen eye for storytelling opportunities
- Ability to prioritize, manage and execute effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Highly collaborative team player with strong organization skills and attention to detail
Nice-to-have
- French bilingualism is a strong asset
