Contributes to the overall success of Global Employee Recognition ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Supports the strategic design and overall oversight and governance, for all Bank-wide Employee Recognition programs, with accountability over metrics, internal reporting, internal communications, issuance of guidelines, and sustainment strategy for their assigned portfolio.
Manages an assigned portfolio of business lines, corporate functions and/or countries, providing guidance in terms of recognition best practices, policies and processes. This includes working closely with recognition ambassadors and other key stakeholders in defining communications plans and collateral, as required.
Supports the definition, development, and prioritization of existing and new Employee Recognition initiatives for the Bank, balancing emerging industry best practices with stated strategic business objectives.
Prepares and/or reviews in-depth quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis on existing Employee Recognition programs, including periodic reports that help identify trends and measure the strength and effectiveness of recognition programs globally. Presents analysis and recommendations to key stakeholders, including senior executives.
Develops and maintains an external and internal network and awareness of market and industry trends with respect to both Canadian and International recognition matters.
Leverages relevant research and external recognition surveys with competitive data. May participate in forums with recognition thought leadership organizations, financial institutions and other global organizations, as well as with vendors.
Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:
University degree with HR-related designation preferred (CHRP, CCP, GRP)
Extensive experience in recognition or human resources programs in a large, corporate environment preferred
Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects/changing priorities concurrently under tight timelines and with multiple stakeholders
Ability to interact effectively with broad range of stakeholders (senior leaders, Human Resources Business Partners, and other key internal partners) to influence results and lead implementation, execution, and/or enhancements of recognition programs
Clear and concise writing skills, especially for senior executives
Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
Spanish is an asset
