Senior Manager, Global Financial Planning & Analysis

The Senior Manager will play a key role in the development of planning and forecasting processes and models, standardizing global processes, and supporting Financial Planning & Analysis transformation. In addition to this, the Senior Manager will drive the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly actuals reporting to senior management, including non-interest revenue analysis. The Senior Manager also has responsibility for supporting the enterprise-wide stress testing, resolution planning, and other finance projects. The Senior Manager will also assist in the preparation of the Bank's quarterly forecasts and annual profit planning, maintenance of related all-Bank P&L models, development of analytical schedules and preparation of key forecast reports and commentaries. The Senior Manager will report to the Director, Financial Analysis within the Global Financial Planning & Analysis team.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

• Work alongside other Finance and Technology team partners in the development of planning and forecasting processes and models.
• Play a key role in developing an FP&A center of excellence centered around Anaplan, and the rollout of Anaplan across the Bank.
• Coordinate the stress testing and resolution planning process with respect to all Global FP&A deliverables and consolidation of the Bank's financials.
• Promote the use of analytical tools (i.e. Alteryx, Power BI) within the Global FP&A team and across the Bank
• Preparation and review of monthly and quarterly actuals reporting to senior management.
• Non-Interest revenue analysis, including variance analysis on actuals, forecast, and Plan.
• Oversight for all Hyperion related process enhancements and standard maintenance requirements; working with Global Finance Technology team (GFT) to coordinate divisional and All Bank Plan upload process to Hyperion, rule maintenance, etc.
• Review the Divisional and All Bank submissions for quarterly forecast, and annual Plan, ensuring that the submissions are correct, identifying any significant variances between current and previous submissions, and preparing written commentary on variances and trends.
• Assist in the preparation of the Bank's 5-Year Strategic Plan financial projections, quarterly forecasts, and plan presentations to Executive Management as well as quarterly Board presentations. This includes financial analysis, updating key performance indicators such as ROE and EPS calculations, All Bank statutory P & Ls, and preparation of Key Message charts and commentaries.
• Review the preparation of monthly and quarterly actual average interest and foreign exchange rates and prepare future interest and foreign exchange rates for annual profit planning and quarterly forecasting processes.
• Participate in Global Finance optimization projects and other Finance projects as may be required.

• Strong analytical skills to identify and evaluate trends and other financial information, and to make recommendations to senior Global Finance leaders.
• Strong inter-personal skills in dealing with all levels of management.
• Well developed communications skills to convey key messages, both verbal and written, to senior and executive management.
• Superior Excel spreadsheet skills to update, enhance and develop new models; and superior PowerPoint skills to convey key messages and charts in report presentations to senior management.
• Proven track record of building presentation material for a senior executive audience
• Superior OBI, Hyperion and banking systems skills and experience.
• Anaplan knowledge and experience considered an asset.
• Other dashboard skills such as Power BI, Tableau is an asset.
• Sound accounting knowledge to understand accounting performance measurement targets.
• Strong attention to detail in updating and developing financial models, system enhancements and to ensure a consistent high-level quality of reporting to Executive Management.
• Post secondary degree in Finance and Accounting with a minimum of 5 years banking experience.
• Accounting or post graduate designation is an asset (CPA, MBA or CFA)
