Boeing Canada Operations Limited is seeking a Senior Manager, Labor Relations, supporting the Canadian region.
The manager will be responsible for the overall Labor Relations (LR) strategy in Canada. Manages a staff of Labor Relations professionals in overseeing the day-to-day LR needs for multiple businesses and facilities throughout the country. Must be able to establish / maintain / repair relationships with external third parties (e.g. employee representatives, government entities, industry associations) as well as internal stakeholders (e.g. Human Resource business partners, legal, finance, business leaders, and communities of excellence).

Preferred candidate will be technically capable, intellectually curious, a team player, and self-starter able to work remotely from headquarters and manage a distributed team. A mindset of lean and process improvement and an ability to communicate at all levels of an organization is required. Organizational savvy and the ability to collaborate with others while still achieving results in a timely manner is essential
Manages employees designing, implementing and administering employee relations processes, including Employee Opinion Survey, the Employee Engagement and
Work Environment Assessment models and Collective Bargaining.
Provides senior leadership with recommendations, advice and counsel on Employee Relations policies, strategies and processes.
Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
8+ years’ experience in Human Resources with progressively more responsible roles
Deep technical Labor Relations experience in Canada
Experience in a large multinational, highly-matrixed environment
Must be willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally up to 40% of the time
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, post-graduate degree preferred

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
