Purpose
The Senior Manager - Portfolio Repricing is responsible for overseeing pricing of GBP products (primarily fee based products). Responsibilities include oversight and coordination of portfolio level non-standard pricing reviews and strategies, reviewing actual versus forecasted account activity for revenue leakage, and providing executive level reporting on pricing optimization efforts & revenue capture.
The Senior Manager leverages pricing expertise and relationships to develop and implement portfolio/product pricing strategies and forward-looking views. The role encompasses project based approach to regular portfolio reviews based on data driven insights and takeaways in accordance with appropriate stakeholder buy in.


What You'll Do:

  • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen stakeholder engagement and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Supporting Small Business, Commercial and Corporate segments in connection with fee based repricing for Business Accounts, Cash Management & Payments and a variety of other payment solutions, both digital and legacy. Responsible for insight analysis and coordination of implementation of repricing projects on portfolio wide scale.
  • Ongoing review of account activity, revenue, mispriced accounts, and account volumes that misalign with forecasted volumes or balances at the pricing approval stage and recommending new pricing arrangements given realized account activity.
  • Ensuring GBP's overall revenue growth targets are achieved in alignment with the banks overall core values and strategic objectives through strong governance, improved systems & automation, effective use of resources and adherence to approved policy & processes. Define and drive pricing initiatives to grow non-lending revenue, increase corporate client share of wallet, diversify client base and maximize revenue sources;
  • Leverage analytics to enhance pricing decisions, deepen client relationships and drive efficiencies while deepening the understanding of the pricing landscape with partners; and
  • Lead and coordinate implementation planning in respect to Portfolio Repricing initiatives/projects. Provide insights on best practises, set a course for execution, and look for efficiencies in the proposed process.
  • Lead a diverse and high-performance team to achieve Scotiabank goals. Elevate, empower and engage team member and foster performance culture. Emphasis on professional development, collaborative environment and growth opportunities;
  • Recruit high performance talent, coach and build expertise, provide guidance, assess performance and contribute to an inclusive work environment; and
  • Foster a strong partnership with Sales, Finance, BSC and IT&S and other groups to ensure alignment with overall bank strategies and facilitate execution.
  • Establish and maintain an internal controls framework for pricing, change management and implementation to minimize financial and reputational risk.
  • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.


What You'll Bring:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, and/or Applied Science
  • 7-10 years experience in Financial Modeling, Proposal Writing, Business Support Centre (BSC), Pricing roles, and/or Banking Products Sales
  • Deep knowledge of business accounts, payments & cash management products, pricing strategies, data & analytics, business processes, IT&S, sales processes and business clients.
  • Close collaboration with partners from different areas of the bank. Such as BSC, IT&S, Finance, Canadian Business Banking sales, GBM corporate sales ..etc.
  • Graduate degree or financial designation is preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of client on-boarding, pricing implementation, pricing proposal and
  • Advances skills in SQL, VBA and/or Power BI


Work Arrangement:

This position is currently a Hybrid role, with the expectation that you will work 2 days a week in the office. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
