As Senior Manager, Research Strategy & Insights, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to the overall success of Global Brand & Client Insights across the Scotiabank Group of Companies on Canadian and international mandates ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed delivered in compliance with governing regulations, policies, and procedure

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

• Lead and drive a client focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
• Develop and execute all aspects of market research for stakeholders across the Scotiabank Group of Companies, this includes:
  • Working with business line stakeholders to understand purpose and needs.
  • Designing and delivering end-to-end research projects.
• Direct and deliver Research Strategy and insights by:
  • Leveraging a network of relationships with vendors
  • Use the most effective and innovative market research analytical techniques.
  • Coordinating, analyzing, and presenting market research data, including insights from multiple sources, advising stakeholders or senior management on the best ways to action insights.
  • Creating and maintaining a network of professionals to share learning.
• Provide relationship management support for various business lines across the organization by:
  • Fostering trust with internal stakeholders, including key senior leaders across the organization to leverage insights to influence business strategies and decisions.
  • Delivering insights in a consultative way to support stakeholders during strategy, ideation, and execution phases of their projects.
• Champion a high-performance environment and demonstrates a commitment to Scotiabank's values. Deliver results in accordance with Scotiabank behavioral competencies. Creates an inclusive team culture and an environment where team members hear, share, and appreciate diverse perspectives.
• Direct day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank's risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicates and models the Bank's risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:

Experience

• Advanced level of experience in market research (8 or more years), preferably on the vendor or client-side.
• Thorough understanding of the end-to-end process of quantitative and qualitative market research, and competitive intelligence.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to translate and communicate business requirements into technical research project specifications.
• Extensive working knowledge of multi-variant statistical techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work within cross-functional teams.
• Superior organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated project management skills - ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Expert knowledge of SPSS, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint; and Qualtrics.
• Aware and knowledgeable of emerging market research techniques.
• Fluency in Spanish highly desirable.

Education

• Completed an undergraduate university degree or college, such as commerce, mathematics, or computer science.
• Completed Market Research certificate program, an asset.
• Enhanced Competitive Intelligence training and practice.
• Specialized qualitative training, e.g. Qualitative Research Associate designation, an asset.
