What you will be doing:
As the Senior Manager, Risk Operations Oversight and Performance, you will lead and oversee Credit Risk Execution within Client Solutions, Retail Banking in Canada ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for providing effective governance, leading, and contributing to strategic Credit Risk and Collections initiatives, focused on driving profitable growth through acquisition, primacy, line management and x-sell, while optimizing bad debt and minimizing involuntary churn.
You will contribute to developing the Tangerine Collections roadmap, support implementation of Credit Risk initiatives, preparing business cases, conducting business analyses and recommending solutions. The incumbent will possess an excellent balance of analytical and communication skills.
Is this role right for you?
In this role, you will:
-Set up and operationalize the vision and strategy for reporting and insights across the Collections lifecycle. Includes ongoing development and monitoring of performance against objectives.
-Responsible for creating, managing, optimizing Credit Risk and Collections processes to ensure growth and achievement of our business goals.
-Complete / Conduct holistic data analysis (risk and collections) and provide insights to inform Risk Operations journey opportunities.
-Support risk and collections analytics required to drive risk and business decisions across the org. This includes Prospective, Customer Value (LTV, profitability, NPV, collections and recovery); Customer profiling and risk segmentation; digital engagement and collections conversions.
-Help the bank simplify, innovate and differentiate via actionable insights, with a mandate to provide drive profitable growth, while optimizing bad debt and involuntary churn.
-Oversee and manage key cross-functional relationships and builds strategic alliances within the organization (e.g. GRM, Collections, Fraud, Finance, CX), as required and represent the team with a Client lens to support key strategic projects. Create business cases around scenarios, risks, and options to drive profitable outcomes.
-Conduct ongoing market assessments and analyze competitive dynamics and trends in current and potential Credit Risk and Collections initiatives.
-Design & build dashboards to help monitor business & portfolio performances.
-Support the development of Executive-facing presentations.
 
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
- We'd love to work with you if you have:
-7+ years of Credit Risk, Collections strategy, analytics experience in Tier-1 organizations in relevant industry sectors (e.g. Telco, Banking, Retail, Technology, etc.)
-7+ years leading high performing teams in Credit Risk or Collections analytics
-Strong conceptualization and implementation skills relating to new strategies for products or businesses
-Proficiency with Big Query, SAS, SQL, Data Studio, GCP or similar tool
-Well-versed in many areas of the business (e.g. Credit Risk, Collections, Analytics, etc.)
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-University Degree or equivalent experience
