Overview: As a Senior ManagerSecurity Operations you will be responsible for all day-to-day Security Operations activities, playing a key role in keeping the organization's systems and information secure and defending Sonova against Cybercriminals and other threat actors. Working closely with internal IT service and application partners, as well as other IT Security functions and supporting security service providers, the SOC team takes responsibility to identify and respond to security events and incidents under oversight by the IT Cyber Security organisation.
The Manager SOC leads their team "hands-on" in the analysis of relevant events across IT infrastructure, devices, and applications. Managing and operating Sonova's security tooling, Security Operations processes (monitoring, detection, triage, containment, escalation, analysis, remediation and continuous improvement) and prepares security reports/metrics on a regular basis.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and Mentor: Guide a team of specialists in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats
- Hands on operations: Work with the team to handle daily incidents and alerts
- Strategize and Innovate: Implement tools, processes, and continuous improvements for superior cyber defence
- Engage in Threat Management: Stay ahead of the curve by analysing cyber threats and managing vulnerability scanning
- Enhance Security Operations: Oversee our Security Operations infrastructure, ensuring effective monitoring, detection, and incident response
- Build Relationships: Liaise with security solution providers and managed security services
- Reporting and Metrics: Provide insightful incident reports and trend analysis to key stakeholders
- Incident Management: Lead from the front in responding to, containing, and remediating security incidents
- Training and Development: Coordinate table top exercises in incident management within the SOC
What you bring to the team:
- 7+ years in IT with a broad understanding of information technology, attack and defense techniques, and incident command
- Experience in a related Cyber Security management role
- Leadership skills to inspire and guide a team
- Strong in analysing security events and making informed decisions
- Proactive Approach in developing and implementing security processes and improvements
- Skilled in establishing professional networks with suppliers, partners, and external services
- Up to date on global threat landscapes and advancements in cyber security
