What is the opportunity?
We are looking for an individual with a combination of strategic thinking and storytelling, operational efficiency, culture enablement, and tech business acumen who can provide strategic direction and program leadership for T&O’s strategic Technology Workforce planning. The adaptive, long-term blueprint will maximize the effectiveness of both the current and future workforce in light of strategic priorities.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide input into competitive intelligence, comparative assessments and thought leadership initiatives that will directly inform and influence decision making for senior Technology leaders. You are highly skilled at articulating complex strategies and can report on key performance indicator metrics to drive deeper, strategic relationships with key stakeholders and partners. To stand out in this role, you must be able to work horizontally with partner teams and senior management, supported by exceptional strategic and stakeholder management skills.
What will you do?
- Perform comprehensive market research and analyses leveraging frameworks, approaches, tools and methodologies and develop robust recommendations related to Technology Workforce Strategy (ex. skills, location, team composition) to support the T&O Operating Committee and their teams
- Analyze current workforce against external market research to identify gaps and talent priorities
- Establish a strategic workforce plan to meet talent requirements using appropriate sourcing, recruitment, development and redeployment techniques
- Ensure strategies are aligned across businesses and T&O strategic objectives, along with the enterprise perspective
- Lead initiatives to ensure system, data and tools are ready to support the evolution of T&O’s Technology Workforce Strategy
- Produce materials for technology and talent leaders for review, discussion, and decision
- Gain the position of trusted advisor and help facilitate discussions on Technology Workforce planning activities across the T&O
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
- Demonstrated ability in project design, management and implementation
- Interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships at every level of the organization
- Proficient experience working with data and transforming information into actionable insights
- Strong written and oral presentation skills and presence; strong technical ability with PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Comfortable working in ambiguous situations, fast paced environment, bring forth new perspectives and insights
- Technology acumen, ideally experience in a role in the software development lifecycle
Nice-to-have
- 2-4 years of deep and broad management consulting experience with an emphasis on business strategy
