What is the opportunity?
The Senior Manager, T&O Centralized Expenses, T&O Finance Performance Management will provide leadership for financial planning and budgeting processes. They are also a key T&O Finance contact for horizontal T&O initiatives like strategic flexibility and quarterly T&O business reviews. This role typically oversees 2 or more specialized departments comprised of supervisors, managers, professionals, and/or large numbers of operational support employees.
What you will do?
- Provide financial and strategic advise and analysis to newly created RBC US Chief Information Office (CIO)
- Ensure timely submission of monthly and quarterly deliverables to T&O Finance PM
- Oversee production of accurate and relevant monthly management reporting packages
- Forecasting, planning and analysis including for key performance indicators;
- Compilation of aggregate App Dev profile for quarterly business review;
- Identification and escalation of opportunities and risks to achievement of stated financial targets
- Ensure appropriate cost allocation methods are applied
- Contribute to preparation of T&O strategy, transformation roadmap, and Board presentations
- Contribute to T&O strategic flexibility initiatives through partnering with the initiative lead in the creation of financial models for new benefits streams, verification of business models, validation of benefits, document validation process, review targets and changes in models and assist in improving initiative reporting management
- Lead or participate in ad-hoc projects and information requests as required.
What you need to succeed?
Must Have
- Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent collaborative skills with the ability to establish strong relationships at all levels across the enterprise, work effectively in a matrix model and leverage global resources to achieve objectives
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Solid knowledge / previous experience in financial reporting / analysis and expense / cost management
- Proven planning, organizational and problem solving skills
- Proactive self-starter with strong client focus
- Ability to deal with competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Intellectual curiosity and growth mindset
- CA, CMA, CGA, MBA, CFA or equivalent with 5+ years' work experience gained through a varied working career including positions in numerous facets of RBC or another financial institution
Nice to Have
- Experience with data visualization tools
- Comfort dealing with large and complex data sets
- Knowledge of RBC organization structure, financial systems and processes
