What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Trade Finance services, aligning with organization goals and industry best practice.
  • Set clear objectives, performance goals, and KPI for the Trade Finance service team, driving excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Lead, manage and mentor the entire trade service team.
  • Provide expert oversight of a wide range of Trade Finance instruments including complex letters of credit, documentary collection and standby letter of credit / guarantees.
  • Review & validate a variety of Trade Finance instruments within delegated authority limits.
  • Ensure that transactions are executed in a timely and accurate manner, in adherence with established service level agreement.
  • Collaborate with the Trade Finance processing team, and other internal stakeholders to facilitate the seamless flow of transactions.
  • Collaborate with risk management teams to implement risk mitigation measures and ensure compliance with Trade Finance regulations.
  • Champion process optimization and automation initiatives within Trade Finance team, leveraging technology and industry best practices to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee and monitor team productivity, staffing and work volume information to maintain efficient workflow within the team and meet SLA requirements.
  • Analyze performance metrics, data insights, and industry trends to inform strategic decision-making and optimize Trade Finance processing operations.
  • Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vison/values/business strategy, and managing succession and development planning for the team.
  • Responds promptly and expertly to internal and external customer requests and enquiries. Promptly addresses issues and complaints, develops workable solutions, and escalates as required. Recognizing and bringing exceptions to policies and procedures to the attention of management for resolution when required.

What You'll Bring

  • Extensive Trade Finance Operations experience, with a deep understanding of Trade Finance instruments, regulatory frameworks, and industry trends.
  • Good working knowledge of ICC rules, ISP98, URDG 758, URC525, the Bills of Exchange Act, SWIFT, UCP 600, and any other applicable Trade Finance rules and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
  • Ability to drive process optimization, innovation and change management.

Work Arrangement: This position is currently a Hybrid role. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
