What is this opportunity?
We are seeking a User Research leader to join the Wealth Management Canada Digital and Data team as Senior Manager, User Research Practice. You are a seasoned researcher who has mastered the craft of turning disparate data into meaningful insights for product development. In addition to executing your own portfolio of research across a deep suite of products, you will support in the elevation of the User Research practice. This role is currently in a hybrid model and could develop into a people management role in the future.
What will you do?
70% Research Execution with clients and employees
Identify research opportunities and recommend research process and methods based on business objectives
Conduct mixed methods research in collaboration with a variety of product and cross-functional partners
Work closely with product, design, and technology to shape product development, bringing the voice of the user to product decisions
Present compelling findings to a range of audiences making it easy for partners to make decisions
30% Elevate the Practice
Establish best practice research tools, templates, processes and methods
Advocate for User Research and the voice of the user with cross-functional partners with varying experience with User Research
Create educational tools and trainings for cross-functional partners to learn about User Research
Maintain and improve the Insights Repository to make it easy for our partners to access research and insights
Support teammates on best practices and coach when needed
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Sociology, Anthropology, History, Psychology or other research-oriented discipline of Humanities, Cultural studies, or Business
7+ years of experience in User Research, Service Design or equivalent relevant experience
Deep expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods
Proven relationship management skills and the ability to maintain successful partnerships.
Skilled facilitator, presenter and storyteller
Expertise in PPT/Keynote, Confluence, Mural (or similar software), and User Research tools
Nice to have
Experience working in financial services
Expertise in quantitative analysis
